Depending on her route and looking at rough directions of somewhere in Essex to somewhere in Greater Manchester we could in theory cross somewhere near Lichfield, Derby or Doncaster.

If you're going to Mancland from the SE, you'd be insane to use the A580.

A556 maybe. I've not tried than since they've done that up.

I might have crossed Butters' path - I went up the M6 through Birmingham and up to J23 and across on the A580 as promised. A580 quite good. I love roads with 60 signs cos they're the rarest.

These smart motorways had better be the best dressed roads ever, cos the upgrade works are seriously p***img me off.

No pics today I'm afraid, cos the wi-fi keeps breaking up.
