Today's exciting breaking news is that President Biden has picked a dandelion clock from the grass and handed it to his wife Jill to blow, despite the fact they'd both got masks on. This reminded me that I too saw a dandelion clock for the first time this year a couple of days ago. It was growing between the pavement and the front wall of a house. Share your thrilling dandelion clock stories.

That doesn't work.

It's like oil of cloves.

I'd rather stick a massive co-codamol the size of an manhole up my ch*colate starf*sh and be done with it. Colbert

I sense that I may have said wrong and/or things that are a bit much.

It's true you struck a bit of a bum note.

In non-Nightjar's bot related news, my garden has lots of skeleton dandelions, as I've suspended weeding in favour of getting all my stuff out of the house.

Not quite as epic as it going up my nose, but I saw a dandelion clock seed go floating past the window today, like a tiny parachute.

*Not to be confused with a "fairy", which is a much rounder and fluffier type of seed.

After a bit of research, the latter might be seeds from rosebay willowherb, as seen launching in their millions in this video. gasp

I have flowers in my garden which I've always assumed were red dandelions but the Wikipedia page on dandelions makes no mention of there being red dandelions. Does anyone know if they are dandelions and, if not, what are they?

Apparently, they're orange hawkeeds but, for some reason, mine are a lot redder than the ones on the Internet.
