Yes, the sunshine was deceptive, it was actually quite cold, I wished I'd worn my parka.

My mother has an enviable tan on top of an already reasonable one already this year, darker by the day. Her terrace is so warm I bought a thermometer for it, which this week confirmed it to be shockingly hotter than anywhere else in Britain - 33c in the shade.
In winter, all those who stepped onto it were convinced it must've been comfortably over 20c out there for substantial swathes of time through November, December, and January. This device almost retrospectively confirms our suspicions might've been correct.
