It is over.

That was a very dull and unengaging album, filled with uninspired songs sung blandly.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it. Excited

Well, that was, for the most part, unremittingly dreary and overproduced.

It's hard to tell whether the songs would've been better more stripped back or whether all the bell and whistles were covering up the fact that most of the songs were a bit weak and needed bolstering up and padding out.

Either way it didn't really work for me.

I'm usually a sucker for that kind of production, but it failed in this case because, as I said above, the material was just, well... dreary.

The "Dancing in the City" album was much better.
