It is over.

That was an album that started well but, in the second half, noticeably overstayed its welcome, thanks to the lack of variety.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it. Excited

Problem is, they did the no nonses boogie so much better on their early 70s albums, this one sounded a bit flat, possibly their last decent album, ** still get's a bonus for Living on an Island so ***

I was all poised to give that a generous two Wendi-sanctioned b*mh*les after the first three or four songs.

But then they did "Shopping In an Iceland" which was OK and came with a very entertaining and rousing 'phasing climax' and my resistance started to crumble away.

Then, the last song - which I'd already noticed was nearly 7 minutes long and thus was dreading - turned out to be an ambitious and largely successful of Southern Blues-Funk and I was appeased.

My snotty-nosed wrath was appeased.
