The foreign language thread
Saluton! I've decided to learn Esperanto, using this course of videos on YouTube:
My logic being that they reckon that, if you can already speak Esperanto, it's much easier to learn other European languages.![Excited](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/4075307247.gif)
Anyway, this is where we can post any foreign language news we might have.

Watching that video's made me realise the Judoon language in Doctor Who is just actors reading out random letters from the Esperanto alphabet.

Re: The foreign language thread
'Krokodili' (to crocodile) is Esperanto slang for 'to drop into your native language while speaking Esperanto'.

There used to be a massive Esperanto 'shop' 3 minutes walk from where I grew up. ![smug](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/1243709627.gif)
I think it was the UK Esperanto central HQ.![yes](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/959869116.gif)

Re: The foreign language thread
Until 2001, the offices of EAB were located in Holland Park, London.
However, in April 2001, due to the cost of maintaining the building, the offices were relocated to a converted outhouse at the Wedgwood Memorial College, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Re: The foreign language thread
I've now watched all 12 videos and can probably speak it like a native now.The Call of the Wendigo wrote:Saluton! I've decided to learn Esperanto, using this course of videos on YouTube:

Let me see if I can translate that sentence into Esperanto. ![Excited](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/4075307247.gif)

Re: The foreign language thread
You correctly put the accusative -n on ĝin, that's quite difficult for people learning their first language.
