Re: Your favourite motorway junction
Ooh this is exciting.
Obviously the most discussed one on the NHOTW is J10 of the M6.
But there are indeed others.
I like J38 on the M6 because it's basically a dead end on one side, that minor road just ends up in someone's farmyard.

Also of course J2 on the M50, which is so tight that for a long time it had a T-junction sign on the approach - quite unheard of on a motorway.

Sadly those signs have now been replaced, but Google kept a copy

The beginning, or end, of the M4.
The world at your feet.
In one direction is Central London, in the other, Heathrow. What more could anyone want? Well, if you're greedy, the delights of Bath lie beyond, as does some marginally acceptable countryside/village stuff around East Berkshire and the very south of Buckinghamshire. Or you might take a spur of the moment detour to Richmond via Kew, to enjoy a world of botanical marvel and lunch outside a nice pub. It's all yours from here.
It's also very easy to drive, smooth, excitingly curved where all the random offices that seem much too close for safety begin around Brentford, and there's that little Russian church with the blue onion domes peeking above the rooftops around there too. You've either just passed or are just about to pass the beautiful artists houses on Talgarth Road, and the civilizational pinnacle that is a Tesco Extra is also at close at hand.
To me, it all means 'happy to be nearly home' or 'happy to be going away'.
