When I got into my car this morning the temperature was -6 C! 
And the hatch door had frozen shut! A nearby man advised me not to force it open in case I broke the seal, and instead to wait for the warm air inside the car to thaw it out.
He was right too, it did thaw out once I'd driven round a bit.
