How did you get on with the hand mower and the length of the grass? One year for a season I used a push mower and it was okay on short grass but really struggled on any longer grass. |

| It was fine. Those two lawns don't get much sun because of hedges. So, the grass is fairly long but not very robust. The big lawn gets plenty of light and, the first time it's done each year, it needs a more powerful implement. _________________ |

| I have just done my front, side and back lawns with the hand mower. _________________ |

| It was a lot more fun than using the electric mowers. _________________ |

| All the dandelions seem to have disappeared from my back lawn.
It had plenty of them before i mowed it, last week but there are, currently, no signs of them returning.
Normally, they're all back within a few days. _________________ |

| Still no sign of the dandelions returning.
But I do have daisies.
I've not had daisies in my garden for years. _________________ |

| I mowed over some daisies the other day. I always feel a bit guilty. |

| I have added the Plantnet app to my phone, for flower identification purposes. I have put it to the test and identified one flower in my garden as a bush vetch. And another as a Rhododendron. _________________ |

I've not had daisies in my garden for years. Still no sign of the dandelions returning. I think I've accidentally killed them all. _________________ |

| Let's hope their species doesn't come for revenge.
Dandelion means 'lion's teeth' btw. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| There is also a leaf app, for identifying.... leaves.
I've got it but I don't think I've ever used it. |

| There's still no signs of the dandelions returning to my lawns. However, there is a buttercup growing near the centre of the main lawn. I can't remember the last time I had a buttercup on any of my lawns. _________________ |

| Using a manual mower does seem to have changed the ecology of my lawns, for some reason. _________________ |

| The buttercup population has quintupled in 2 days!
At this rate of growth, in a month's time there'll be 30 billion buttercups near the centre of your main lawn.

| I can report that the dandelions have still not returned to my back lawn. However, they've been replaced by a great forest of bright red flowers that I would assume to be orange hawkweed, except they're far more blood red than any I can find pictures of online. _________________ |
