| Have you got a hedge trimmer that's on the end of a long pole? I bought one, a few years back, and it was a life-changing experience. _________________ |

No, but I may invest in one. |

Can you point me in the direction of these? Whilst I made the move to thrilling modern battery-powered mowers several years ago I'm still cutting hedges with actual (extendable) shears. |

I got mine from Argos, for £80. It was made by Challenge. The ones they have at the moment are by other brands but they're in the same price range and operate on the same principle. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7590087?clickSR=slp:term:cordless%20pole%20%20trimmer:1:15:1 https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7044629?clickSR=slp:term:cordless%20pole%20%20trimmer:2:15:1 https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2209476?clickSR=slp:term:cordless%20pole%20%20trimmer:3:15:1 _________________ |

| Thank you. They all get good ratings. Do they go through slightly thicker branches? The more expensive Cilla Black & Carol Decker one doesn't say how long the battery lasts for. |

| The best thing for a big branch is a bow saw. No batteries, no nonsense, less chance of accidentally cutting your leg off. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

I've never tried to cut through slightly thicker branches with mine. Therefore, I cannot say. However, I am led to believe that the gap between the teeth indicates the maximum width of branches that can be cut. _________________ |

Oh, believe me I've used one many times. And screamed almost as many times when using one! A bow saw is okay up to medium branches but the amount of times I've got the saw stuck in the middle of a thick branch or trunk. I just want to slice through large branches and stumps like butter. |

| That happened to my mother’s chainsaw - she was hanging off her balcony, using it in a bout of drunken over enthusiasm in the middle of the night, when it seized up in the tree. It remained there until a gardener came to get it/finish the job. |

| Earlier this evening, I managed to mow all three of my lawns with my battery-powered lawnmower. Usually, it only carries enough charge to do my main lawn. _________________ |

| Two of them are the size of postage stamps. Only one of them has any scale to it, and even that one isn't very big. _________________ |

| My battery only lasts for 20 minutes. And one charge covered them all. That sums up the scale of lawnage we're talking about. _________________ |
