Gone full on Entwistle/Moon-driven The Who.

I feel thoroughly worn out by that.

It is over.
I felt they were an excellent band with a need for more memorable songs and a producer who could tell them to calm down a bit.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Over.
Wonder what the Glyn John stuff sounds like?
Cue Ball.
The 1970s.

I think Glyn Jones was that man

But, from the playlist, it looks like all the extra tracks were the Glyn Jones versions.
I think what we listened to was an Hi-Teck remaster, which might account for how chunky and slightly overbearing, busy sound it had.
The ones after the first dozen-or-so tracks have considerably less '00s technocrunchiness about them.

Re: Nine Below Zero - Third Degree - (1982).
Anyway, twas OK that.
An odd confection though - not very inspired mod revival, Joe Boxers-Motown-esque snare drum banging and with strange elements of '80s prog and predictable The Who affectations.
Perhaps the latter two aspects of the album were something to do with the distinctly superior, technical musicianship.
Ultimately, not gr8, but properly not bad.
