Probably the unmasking of serial killer activity. That’s the trouble with storage units. They attract a dangerous criminal element.

I've just had an unexpected tephelone call from someone that was unexpected.

Someone I'd assumed I'd fallen out with ages ago.

He kept telling me about how much he admired me and how much I'd inspired him when we were at art school and how much, although I might have not realise it, after all these years I've always been loved and cherished.

I asked him where he was and he said he was in Ghent and that he was formally inviting me to another friend's (who I also thought I was a persona no grata with) wedding.

After we finished the call I paused for a while.

I was was - indeed, am - somewhat banjaxed, but then I thought...

Has he taken loads of MDMA? Sly

I have now discussed this turn of events with people what I know who are not always inane, crass and unhelpful.

They have not really helped all that much, but they have all agreed that you are all inane, crass and unhelpful.

My uncles partner keeps asking why I haven’t gone for the weekend at their newish place - it’s a very impressive house with an interesting history, and normally I’d jump at the chance. I’ve happily followed the renovations as they rectify the bad taste of the previous owner. I don’t want to be so tactless as so say ‘I’m waiting for another couple of years for the sake of safety’…

They bought it from a mercenary - someone who puts private contractors in war zones and the like. I don’t want to be chilling out there only for masked men with machine guns to burst in seeking revenge for what’s been done to some small unstable statelet.

It seems wiser to wait until the fact it’s no longer owned by this person filters fully through the worlds grapevine.
