Love Sensation - Loleatta Holloway (1980)
Re: Loleatta Holloway - Love Sensation (1980)
It is over.
I felt it was a collection of weak, unfocused songs being over-sung.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Well, that was enjoyable. Nothing else quite as epic as the opening track and a tad generic disco in places but always sung with a thrilling voice.

Re: Loleatta Holloway - Love Sensation (1980)
It was quite the let down that.
Lots of elements that may well have been good with the right accompaniment(s).
None of which came together to create a coherent or even consistently enjoyable set of songs.
Not really even a coherent or even consistently enjoyable passage of music within any of the songs.
A frowzy, clumsy, uncomfortable, over-cooked and actually quite boring collision of performers, songwriters, producers and arrangements that amounted to something like a 'car crash' of an album.
