Dee C. Lee - Shrine (1986)
Re: Dee C. Lee - Shrine (1986)
That high-pitched synth bit is ripped directly off of something else.

Re: Dee C. Lee - Shrine (1986)
I know this isn't a very original thought, but this is very 1986 sounding isn't it?

This slappy bass is actually like rubber bands being flicked in your face by a child.

Drummer trying some kind of complex drum pattern.

I think the drum machine has a bug in the programming.

This is really dreadful.
A shambles.
Like nobody had played before together and were all in different rooms.
In different parts of the country.
But live.

Re: Dee C. Lee - Shrine (1986)
Well, the style (council) of the album was very much what I like, but other than two or three tracks it was a bit nondescript and generic 80s, and her voice left a bit to be desired for a substantial part of it.

Re: Dee C. Lee - Shrine (1986)
It is over.
It was a boring album, blighted with 1986 production, that seemed to exist purely for the sake of existing, and she often struggled to carry a tune.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.
