The thing that actually made Orville OK in 'real life' was the fact that when He and Harris did their act on stage he wasn't so self-pitying.
The void between the on-stage, sarcastic and mildly transgressive p*ss taking Orville and the music Orville has always troubled me.

I actually really quite enjoyed that. It was just overwhelmingly wholesome and many of the arrangements were lovely and genuinely well orchestrated. Some of Orville's vocals were a little weak at times but who cares? It's Orville.
