This material isn't up to muster.

She's already proved that she's a good singer and songwriter (well, to me at least), and these songs just don't work in regards to allowing her to stamp her own mark on them.

A old friend of mine used to replace the lyrics, when the vocals go "nothing compares (dramatic downward key change) NOTHING COMPARES!" with 'EXCEPT NICE CHEESE!". Tee Hee
