Re: Plumbing
This was Anglian Water
Though no doubt they're all in it together.

Anglian Water is an anagram of Alien Gnat War.
Which I think says it all.

Re: Plumbing
I've had to tidy up the hall and the front room to create a safe path to the kitchen for the plumber and to make it look less like the den of a mad hoarder.

That took less long than I thought.
But he didn't tell me till afterwards that it was a wireless one. I don't want it zapping out high-powered radio transmissions while I'm asleep.

Re: Plumbing
I've just had to put a new washer on the pipe that leads into my toilet cistern.
I only put the last one in about a month ago.

Re: Plumbing
My toilet's sprung a leak when it flushes.
I initially thought it was the bendy pipe that connects the toilet to the soil pipe and that I'd have to get a plumber in to avert disaster but, upon closer inspection, it looks like it's just the pipe that connects the cistern to the toilet. So I'm going to watch some YouTube videos to find out how to fix it.

Re: Plumbing
I have fixed it. I pushed the rubber bung tighter into the back of the toilet and that seems to have done the trick.

Re: Plumbing
The water keeps running down the back of the rim.
Actually, both the taps are leaking* in the sink and the sink plug won't screw down the thread is just, gone. I think the whole thing need replacing.
* It's the new Ceramic types, I couldn't unscrew them last time, proper wrenches and all, the plumber came in and tightened it up and fixed it, but it's doing it again. In my experience with something like that first time you fix it it'll be fine for 6 months, then 3 months then 2 weeks then it's a waste of time.

Does it use a ballcock?
Does the cistern fill at the side or at the bottom?
Is it a push button flush or a handle flush?

It's one of those new fangled Euro-toilets. with a double flush-o-matic button. I've not even looked at it be honest.
