Re: GR8 Maps
I have ventured to within 1000 yards of the bottom left-hand corner of that map.

I've walked to Marylebone station, and spent what seemed like 2 days driving around the area of the old American embassy at 0.03MPH.

Re: GR8 Maps
Oh now that's a point, in addition to my above mentioned foot expeditions, in 1989 I drove from the A40 down to Hyde Park corner, and then to Victoria and then over the bridge that's down that way but not on the map.
Scorching hot day it was, with 3 of us in a Metro, and the car was overheating so I had to put the heater and fan on full to cool the engine.

The next time I came near this map in a car, it was 2014 and I had air conditioning
I drove up from Hammersmith to the W12 centre and parked there.

It's like one of those Our Friends In The North style dramas. Dissolve from one journey to the other.

Re: GR8 Maps
Oh, and I've been to that record shop in Notting Hill gate.
I'm trying to remember what I was doing there, the people I was staying with lived in Golders Green

Re: GR8 Maps
I think that's the most elaborate picture disc I've seen.

Re: GR8 Maps
Here it is. It's an interactive map that shows you the range of damage that would be done to a town of your choice if an atom bomb, whose size is of your choosing, hit it.

Here's Sheffield if hit by the smallest American bomb ever built:
That's rubbish. I could do more damage than that on a night out.
