I have never heard of him. Could he be the new Sherrick?

This sounds like something else but I don't know what.

That was a terrible episode, with the only highlight being by Wax.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

When I'm carrying a CD from my CD folder storage area in the front room to the CD player in the kitchen, I always 'fly' it in front of my face as if it's some kind of futuristic circular spaceship, while performing The Yellow Pearl as best I can.
Which is ironic because to the best of my recollection the Yellow Pearl TOTP era was several years before CDs came on the scene.

A comment to do with T'Pau that was definitely worth waiting for.

Yellow Pearl was used until something like April 1986, so even you had apparently been buying CDs before it changed to the Paul Hardcastle theme tune!

I didn't buy any CDs till I got a CD player in March 1988.
I first became aware of CDs circa March 1986, when my friend bought the CD of Dream of the Blue Turtles by Sting. Of which I made a tape copy some time between March 24 and May 2 1986.
So I would have been just inside the Yellow Pearl boundary.

I think I was thinking of the Doctor and the Medics CD you bought - but that must have been in 1986 too, when Spirit in the Sky was released, and not 1985. I must have been confusing you with me as I recently acquired a Simple Minds CD which still had the Woolworths receipt for it posted inside the booklet, purchased in December 1985!

I've still got receipts for a lot of my records, tapes and CDs, but I don't keep them with the media. They're in my receipts file, section F 'Culture'.
I bought that Doctor and the Medics CD on August 4th 1988 in fact.
