After a warm and rather humid day, at about 8pm it started thundering here for about 45 minutes, along with several flashes of lightning. Towards the start it was pouring with rain yet the sun was still out shining brightly - and there was a large and fairly bright rainbow. happy

Yes, same thing happened here,

I think it was when we started the Kim Wilde commentary.

My window was wide open and I was suddenly aware that, although sun was shining brightly, rain was coming down in a gentle but consistent stream, lightly soaking the mini bijou communal gardenette.

It was all peaceful and charming and slightly magical.

I thought it was unpleasantly humid when I was out earlier. Completely pointless weather and very disappointing for June. Sun and rain makes me feel depressed. 'Sunshine and showers' is something the weather forecasters announce as if it's a treat to look forward to. There's almost no weather worse than a wet pavement blinding you with its shimmer.
