Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
Really gorgeous again. I'm waiting now for my new terracotta tiles to set in the cement. I think I've done a really professional job out there. They'll be nice and warm underfoot at all hours of day and night.

When I actually went outside I found it wasn't as hot as I feared, thanks to a sea breeze.

Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
This has been my most abstemious Wed and Thu since before the plague began to rage.

Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
I have filled a 2-litre water bottle with cold water and am hugging it to me. It is keeping me cool, despite the heatwave.

The water in my bottle isn't cold anymore and I'm trapped behind my laptop and can't get to the tap.

Last night I wrapped a cold pack from the freezer in a t-shirt and hugged that to me, like a weird inversion of a cold winter night.

Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
I hope the fabulous weather resumes ASAP. Not looking too impressive for the coming week.
Fangirl - to be cool on a hot night, put the t shirt itself in the fridge and then take it out and wear that. You may also enjoy doing the same with wrist cuffs to take care of key pulse points. I find instant and longish lasting relief from rolling a frozen something over the inside of my wrists for 20 seconds or so and returning it to the freezer.
My grandfather always swore by a hot cup of tea. It fools you into thinking you're cooling down, comparatively.
