The afternoon nap thread
I've just had a lovely afternoon nap.
But was then woken by getting cramp in both feet.

I've just had an afternoon nap and now I feel like I need a nap to recover from it.

I've just had a nap but, when I woke up, the sun was shining directly on me and I was all over-heated and uncomfortable.

It's a warning to all members, don't let the sun sneak up on you while you're asleep.

I got quite overheated sitting in my deckchair, but I was fully conscious the whole time.
You'd have thought I might have had a nap, having been on the go since 4.40am, but I didn't.
Re: The afternoon nap thread
I have just had a nap. It lasted three hours. I have just woken up. Now I feel completely out of sync with the world.

I had no urge for a nap this afternoon, cos I slept 9 hours last night, it was wonderful.

Re: The afternoon nap thread
I'm not sure which piece of knowledge is in question, so, just like I do at work when I want to save time, I'll answer all 3 possible questions:
- I know I had no urge for a nap cos I remember it, I was on the go all afternoon, never mind not having time to sit down, I didn't even have time to want to sit down
- I know I slept 9 hours because I went to bed at 10pm Friday, and the next thing I knew it was 4am today and I had a hangover. I lay awake till 5am, had two paracetamol, then after about 10 minutes I felt very sleepy, and the next thing I knew it was 8.15am. So I must have slept ~9h (6h + 3h).
- I know it was wonderful because I felt wonderful when I woke up at 8.15

I dreamt I was Jodie Whittaker's Doctor Who and that her phones kept dying on her.
That leads me to having to relaunch an old thread.

Has this thread only been thought up to taunt insomniacs? I have enough trouble sleeping at night, let alone during the afternoon.
My ex husband used to take afternoon naps. He'd wake around midday, get ready, go out for lunch, return around 3/30 and nap until 6ish.

Re: The afternoon nap thread
Re: above. While he was out for lunch his mother would come and change the sheets for the upcoming afternoon nap. She'd do the same again when he was out in the evening. She lived in the same building, so it was like clockwork. If she was out of town, these tasks were delegated to a sister/in law - seeing as his lazy English wife refused to.
I do actually know how to make a bed, to a very high standard, from a teenage summer spent as a chambermaid for a well known Piccadilly establishment. I just don't see the point in doing so - I just fold the duvet in half after I get up. We only change the sheets in my house twice a week or so. I think any more than that is unnecessary.

Re: The afternoon nap thread
I felt like taking an afternoon nap on the M74 this afternoon. I always forget how long the journey from the borderlands to the central belt is.

Re: The afternoon nap thread
I've just woken up from a nap. Although, as it took place from 6.30-7pm, it wasn't really an afternoon nap.
But it did allow me to experience getting out of bed and immediately drinking a can of beer.
