It's billed as a spa place. I think those facilities were beyond the landslide. I certainly didn't find them, despite having my towels packed and having gone there specially for that.

Maybe it's better in the summer but I'd never return. The stuff in the shop windows was all overwhelmingly downmarket - life sized plaster statues etc. They were all closed anyway. I got the impression it's geared to German and Russian tourists who go to gamble and sunbathe.

There was a large and very 70's/80's mural of the major planets on the side wall of an apartment building, which added to the Soviet resort vibe.

A tree logging and lumber works was situated at the entry to the town but that was deserted too.
