C4 - I wonder which psychopath will become our Putin after this societal collapse and once another Boris is out of the way.

Re: The NEW, "What's that in your eyeballs?" thread. Part 11
The Moscow apartment bombings of Sept 1999, allegedly by Chechen separatists. I remember getting ready in the morning while watching that on the news.
Unknown to me, Chanel were redeveloping their facewash into the new Precision range for the millennium. At the time I was on what would turn out to be the last of my divine and long trusted daily product, a deliciously scented pearlescent grey mousse. I never got to stock up before it was withdrawn. Apart from once trying the replacement, I have never and will never buy any cosmetic or skincare products from Chanel.
I was forced (alone, frightened, and unguided) into an experimental period which included Creme de la Mer facewash. A bottle of that alone was £130 in the year 2000.
This happened to me again, years later, with the withdrawal of the Prescriptives brand first from Selfridges, and then worldwide. I had come to rely on my twice weekly applications of their marvellous exfoliator.

It threw my life into turmoil. For years I had relied on a routine of nightly make up removal and face/neck cleansing with pads soaked in Smirnoff red label, and a pillow wrecking application of thick Astral moisturizer, followed in the morning by Chanel facewash and a splashed massage from my mint green glass bottle of Origins toner.
This was supplemented by regular sessions with my Babyliss facial sauna, Cinique exfoliator, and Clinique fake tan, and monthly cathiodermy treatments by Guinot - always on a Thursday morning. It's these measures I thank for never having had skin problems. I didn't realise a Putin programme would induce such memories.

"Ayyy, bang bang bang". So hot. His beauty never fails to touch me. And acting talent, it goes without saying.
I'd never heard of spinners but evidently it's a thing. The things provincial Americans have to do to put food on the table and pay for medicine to go into their bodies.

I seem to be at the top of a slide into Boyzone hits as far as my television account of YouTube goes. I recall relaxing on our bunk beds getting stoned with my brothers stash*, recording and listening to a Now style compilation CD onto tape to give my friends mother, to gain a Boyzone CD and a Dire Straits tape in exchange.
Oh no, spoke too soon, we've branched into Back for Good. I hope Never Forget comes on next**.
*His two Oriental embroidered silk boxes - large maroon for weed, small orange for other substances, are still treasured items in my collection. They currently sit beside my grandfathers medals and awards, an ancient Eye of Horus, and a camel and fuschia orchid.
**No, it's Eurythmics. "Thorn In My Side" happens to be my mothers joint favourite song along with "When Tomorrow Comes", so either YouTube is very clever or she's been over to use my television while I've been out.

Lovely memories of her sunbathing on our windowsill in a navy and white Breton top and cotton knickers, dangerously balanced to work on a deep leg tan, listening to Eurythmics so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. Pubs and lockins after dark. Will we ever see the like again.

I'm sure that every single character in that show found themselves crashing a shuttle and being stranded on an alien planet at some point.

Callan is on Sony Movies, at 11:45. I have never seen it but have heard tell of it, in dark recesses of the Internet.

Lost Sitcoms is on BBC4 at 10 o'clock. It would appear to be a modern remake of a missing Steptoe and Son episode, starring people who aren't dead.

I think it's the episode where Captain Kirk swaps bodies with a woman.
