It does sound like the track they would have given to Ringo had the Beatles dragged it on till 1976.

| Last track.
OK one I think.
Basically Big White Cloud with a band and drummer. _________________ Have you ever seen a Squonk's tears?

It is over. I found that endearing. Even though he has no talent, it had a charming gaucheness and naivete about it that made it one of the more pleasurable albums that wasn't chosen by me. Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it. _________________

And it's over. Er... I quite liked it. DIdn't sound anything like I expected. Did have that 1970 as in too personal for '69, not cynical enough for '71. This could only have come out the same year as The Madcap Laughs. I'm going to be generous and go… ★★★★ The Bonus track Wall is more how I imaged it would have sounded like.

I'd be tempted to try checking out his other albums. But I won't I've got too much lined up next to my record player.

They're worth a look. Paris 1919 is probably his best liked. The Academy in Peril is a wackily baroque, grandiose experiment that I admire (John Milton is way ossum). I think that Helen Of Troy is my favourite all things considered. I'm going to put that forward as a running commentary suggestion. _________________ Have you ever seen a Squonk's tears?
