I haven't drunk John Smiths for many a long year. It was my drink of choice when I first started uni, but I soon discarded it in favour of lager.

I had my drink-free day yesterday. It should have been 2, but I only did 1 because excuses.

It's very encouraging though how nonchalantly I can do 1 DFD now, it used to be a huge big deal.

The tekwiya is absolutely awesome.

It's so good.

Better than Scotch.

A crazy combo of an alkaline, vegetal, agricultural base but enhanced by waves and waves of complex sweet, vanilla, caramel.

Also, toffee and candyfloss.

Cloves, nutmeg...

Also, delicious niceness.

Just because I haven't mentioned my drink-free days lately, doesn't mean I've not been having them.

I had one yesterday in fact. I went to bed at 7pm and slept peacefully till 2.30am, when I got up.

Thanks to staying at my parents', I've had the most abstemious week I've had for 4 years.

Not that they're mean with the drinks btw. It's just that I feel a bit diffident about staggering around drunk in their house, so I've only accepted 2 drinks per night.
