Same here. The average room temperature appears to have fallen a degree each day for the last two days. Last night didn't hit 30 like the day before.

There's not much on Short Wave these days, and I've found precisely B*gger all on any side bands.

Thinking about it, I've not heard much on the Air band, I put that down to that there C*vid effect on flights, but I'm not picking up anything at the moment either.

The sun has moved round to the front of the house and my bedroom is now 24.1 degrees and climbing. I can imagine it going up another degree or two over the course of the evening.

In this west-facing hotel room this week I've been closing the curtains hurriedly at 3pm before the sun comes round and turns it into an inferno.

You need to get one of the digital ones - they're quite cheap these days. I've had my oldest one for about 15 years and it's still going strong. They can actually help you save money in the long run by making you realise that your rooms are too hot in the winter and to turn the thermostat/radiators down.

Plus they're fun to monitor during heatwaves. fireball
