My son had even less desire to deal with it than I did. I rang a pest control place in the end.
I don’t feel able to return home, so I gave them a list of things we wanted and a man handed them over in the street. My mother is in the Algarve, so I’m staying at hers for the next week or two.
I shiver in disgust every time I think of it scurrying around.

I went home for the first time today. Someone has delivered a wreath. I’m a little disturbed. Probably a mistake. I thought of binning it. I’ve separated it all out so it looks less threatening.
