England fans singing that dreary dirge like it's a good song again.

Re: The new Medonymous memorial football thread
I wonder if I should buy a ticket for the Sheffield or Rotherham ones?

Hold on.
Rotherham's ground is hosting France, Italy, Belgium and Iceland.
Sheffield United's is hosting the Nether Regions, Sweden and Switzerland.
Why does Rotherham get the exciting games?

Brighton & Hove (Brighton & Hove Community Stadium)
London (Brentford Community Stadium & Wembley Stadium – final only)
Manchester (Manchester City Academy Stadium)
Milton Keynes (Stadium MK)
Rotherham (New York Stadium)
Sheffield (Bramall Lane)
Southampton (St Mary's Stadium)
Trafford (Old Trafford – opening game only)
Wigan & Leigh (Leigh Sports Village)
What a odd collection of venues!

Re: The new Medonymous memorial football thread
There has been a good deal of controversy about the venues chosen with many saying that a few of of them are insultingly small.
For example, the Manchester City Academy Stadium is where Citeh's academy players play and holds only 7000, however due to UEFA restrictions on standing this will be reduced to little more than 4000.
Likewise, the Leigh Sports Village holds only 12,000, but again will be reduced by UEFA to about 2/3 of that.
Also, people have complained that no grounds in the NE or Midlands have been chosen.

Poor Luxembourg.
With their consistent presence in the World Top 5 of Global happiness charts and seemingly total disinterest in being anything other than a cash rich principality/enclave.
I, for one, feel bad for the Luxobints who made an effort tonight.
It's almost certainly a fact that they're not just the wives of Euro-pen-pushers and sx=
