Re: Feats of money-saving
I love carbs. And I always accompany pizza with baked pots or chips.

Re: Feats of money-saving
Following on from my fan experiment, the other day, I've just bought two USB laptop cooling pads, to put under my radiator, and a thermostatic plug to control them with, in order to see if it makes the room warmer.
I've also bought some of that plastic film you can put over your windows, to keep the heat in.
Once it's all arrived and installed, I shall report upon the results.

I've just discovered the Approved Foods site which sells discounted food that's passed its best-before date.

Nearly all its food seems to be either biscuits or crisps.

Free delivery for orders over £55.
I think even I'd struggle to justify ordering £55 worth of crisps.

I accidentally saved £6.50 yesterday by paying in Tescos with my Tesco Bank credit card, which I'd forgotten was also a Clubcard and qualified me for discounts on vodka, and Martini.

Re: Feats of money-saving
I could probably spend £55 on Golden Wonder Salt & Vinegar, but I'd have to fight my son for them because he prefers them too, and I can have a few packets in one sitting so it could get dangerous, and very unhealthy, to have access to £55 worth stashed about the house.
