The forum in which all human experience resides. Especially for fans of the now-deceased original Hall of the Wendigo. Still Number One with the core demographic.
Indeed I've just completed such a stint. I was going to have early drinks today, but I've nobly promised to give my mum a lift to the garage to pick up her car. I hope she understands the extent of the sacrifice.

Yeah, if I'm on the NHOTW at this time of night, it can only mean one thing
In my defence, I would point out that I've heard people across the corridor noisily going out in a way that implies they'll come back even more noisily, drunk, at midnight. And likewise the people upstairs.

Sadly I was exactly right. They did indeed come back at midnight, and have only just quietened down, despite me passive-aggressively saying 'Keep it down, b*tches' at increasingly louder volume and increasingly shorter intervals.
I'm cancelling tonight's (Saturday's) alcofest because I suspect Friday was just the rehearsal, and Saturday will be the main (presumably wedding) performance. I'm not going to drink if I can't enjoy it, and sleep it off, in peace.
The ironic thing is that one of the main reasons I'm still living in hotels is that I didn't want to settle and find myself stuck next to selfish neighbours week after week again. And yet sometimes now it seems like I'm stuck next to the same selfish noisy wedding party week after week, just in different towns and composed of different drunks.

I don't mean to be glib about your plight, Countess, but what you describe has the ring of the plot for an acclaimed, darkly comic television series.
BBC2 or C4.
In all honesty I think you should write it.

Thank goodness I abstained last night, cos an even worse guest moved into the upstairs room, and they came in at 1am and were stamping about as if they had no concept of being upstairs at all. And they seemed to keep dropping some heavy object.
I had my phone ready to call reception if they did it one more time, but they didn't.
I'm not coming back to this hotel again.

The last time I was in a hotel in that there London, the person in the room above kept dropping a heavy object.

I wonder if it was the same person?

Did they immediately fall asleep and start snoring, like Mr/Ms/Mx Vermin last night?
At 4am the snoring suddenly stopped and they made the crash again, and I reflexively yelled 'F**k's sake!' and they went very, very quiet.
I was not only wise to abstain last night in case the drunks started up again - they didn't, they'd obviously left - but very lucky, because Drunk Fangirl would not have coped as well with Mx Vermin as sleepy Night Off Fangirl did.
