You will be very pleased to know that Timothée Chalamet is playing the lead in the upcoming remake of "Dune" due for release this December..

Of course I did know that, and despite it not being my genre I will be in the nearest open cinema with my facemask on. But very kind of you to issue this notice.
I'm upset that The French Dispatch has been pushed back from a July release. I had been counting on that to see me through the nightmare of the postponed play.

Especially lovely accounts of a small and soulful neighbourhood. The love with which the lives and lifestyles are outlined remind me of my own homes/and my fellow inhabitants.

She improved. I much prefer middle aged Goldie.

Basically, from Private Benjamin onwards. Always one of my favourite films. As an undergrad I was inspired by it to knock up a batch of my great grandmothers* chicken soup and dumplings for everyone.
Obviously nothing as explicit as an actual chicken was used. Just cans of Heinz cream of chicken (other brands available), which was her own preference anyway. An authentic time was enjoyed by all.
*1893-1996. Resting peacefully, floating freely.

I seem to recall ITV showing Rowan & Martin's Laugh In late at night midweek.
Uh... RAND-UM!
It was Henry Gibson's "verrry interesting, but shtoopit!" bit that always stuck in my mind.

No cynicism is welcome. There's nothing stupid about baby chimpanzees and orangutans. They are simply beautiful and joyful.

Blues Brothers. It's almost as bad as Ghostbusters (1984) Private Benjamin is great!

The Blues Brothers is great.
Ghostbusters is indeed rubbish.
I've never actually seen Private Benjamin.
I think I get it mixed up with Protocol.
Which I also haven't seen.
I've been forced to watch Overboard more than once however.

In fact, I'd say that TBBs is the cinematic exemplar of happy joyousness.

It's the internets fault. It's designed to facilitate misunderstandings. The French Dispatch isn't meant to be in that post either. I was attempting to showcase my most favourite Michelle Bachmann clip - herself my very favourite mad American public figure, who provides an abundance of insanity to marvel at.
WDTBD - I didn't like Ghostbusters. Or The A Team. They, along with that darts contest were both a Saturday evening ruined as far as I was concerned. Little did I know then that Jim Davidsons Big Break and Noel Edmonds were being developed to take prime places in the broadcasting schedule.
