The collaborative finding things thread
This is a new thread for NHOTWans who have lost things. It will enable us to harness the collective power of the forum to find the missing items.

So can anyone think where my sweetie tin might be? It's a Co-op biscuit tin filled with rhubarb and custards and sugar-free Polos.
I thought it was in the saucepan cupboard but it isn't there.
I'm sure I haven't accidentally packed it up for the move.

That isn't a bad suggestion, because the downstairs room, where the telly is, is where I am when I eat sweets.
But it isn't there I'm afraid.

Re: The collaborative finding things thread
Is it under a pile of paper and documents?

I have a theory.
Or at least something surmised.
You have indeed unknowingly packed it away and it is currently in the storage locker.
This may be true, however it may also be not.
My suggestion is that assume that it is.
One thing is pretty much certain: it's not been lost forever or binned.
When you finally leave your current abode you'll have an opportunity to discover whether it is indeed lurking about in some obscure nook or cranny.
Conversely, when you move into your new place it'll be turn up at the bottom of some box and you'll be all like "ohhhhhhh...".
In the meantime, just relax - let it go.
Chill, Lady.
PS - is it under the sink?

Re: The collaborative finding things thread
I've just found it under the box of green bin bags, which in turn was under the garden chair I'm using as a temporary armchair.
I can see why I put it there, because I'm usually sitting in that chair when I eat sweets.
Thank you both for helping me look.

Re: The collaborative finding things thread
I once posted a picture of two £1 black stamps which differed in the design of the £ sign.
Can anyone recall which thread it was in? I checked the philately one, it isn't there.

Do we have a thread about coins? Might it be in that one?

I have now checked the coins thread. It isn't in there.

I have never seen that picture before in my life, and by heck, I would have remembered that!
