Although I know most songs from these recent shows I have no recollection of any of the actual performances, despite remembering a number of the performances from weeks gone by. In fact, I barely even know the newest Holly Johnson Song at all, Atomic City, that he performed in the studio, yet his previous single Americanos was definitely a favourite of mine at the time.

I've since worked out that if it's now July on these repeats then I'd probably be playing outside at 7pm after school and probably didn't actually see these episodes, or that much of them. Although I do remember seeing the Soul II Soul video at the time and thought it was really boring and wondered why it could possibly be number one. But I love it now. yes

Ironically it was about the second summer of ~~drugs~~ love which was happening at the very time, not that you'd know that from Top of the Pops.
