A rather difficult album to listen to for the general listener as most of the tracks are kind of all based around the one song - the title track and single - with added strange sound effects and spliced vocals, and as mentioned with occasional narration by Lovejoy.
It's more of an experimental project by Trevor Horn than a proper Grace Jones album.

Well, Warm Leatherette is probably her best album, Actually, I say that I've not heard Living My Life or Nightclubbing in like years either. like in terms of actual songs.
But I thought the ZZT/Lovejoy concept album gubbins would make it a more interesting mass listening.
Well, again I say that, it's been years since I've dusted it off and spun it round, like a record. Maybe it sucks donkeys?
Didn't the snare drum cost more to record than the price of a Ferrari whatever model was in trend at the time.
Now to see what else I've missed.

It's just boring ultimately.
The gimmick wears off after a few minutes and you're just left listening to a dull vanity project/experiment.
That said, I'm glad it exists, it's just that it doesn't really lend itself to being something you necessarily want to listen to more than once.
It's a good single basically, puffed and preened up to epic proportions.
Personally I think Nightclubbing is her best LP, but Warm Leatherette is good too, just not as consistent.
Living My Life is weak.

Poorly recorded vocals, too fast, too verbose, and has slash on the Konstants.

It's started in as low-key a way as you'd expect from Trevor Horn.
