, but I see on the radar there's a group of showers hanging around just off the coast, waiting their chance to sneak inland and rain on me as I walk to work.

I don't mind getting wet on the way home, because I have lots of dry clothes, hot baths and fluffy towels available at my house.

If I get wet on the way to work, I have to faff about all day drying my wet coat, shoes etc.

I don't know what the weather thinks it's playing at today. I had to dodge the showers when I walked to the hairdressers' at 9am, but by 11 it was hot and sunny, and I felt a right plum with a coat on.
