Yes.
That was a proper part of the album.

My bags always come out last as well, so I can't blame her for singing a song about it. It's that or a predisembarkation plea for patience/announcement that the carousel has broken down (Gatwick is the outstandingly reliable offender in that regard), resulting in the usual chaotic mix of directionless Spanish students and Russian gangsters and pursed lipped suburban housewives all waiting for the relevant screen to update to see whose flight got in first. Either way, only when you see your own cases wobble into sight do you realise you weren't breathing fully before that moment.

The end.
Not too shabby from old s*xy blocked sinuses popstrel Kim.
Better than Umpkin and Garfsonfinkel in any and all events.

Re: Kim Wilde - Select (1982).
My one disappointment was that Child Come Away wasn't on it. It turns out it was a non-album single. It maintains the run of insanely bleak singles from her, and the middle eight features her best singing up to that point, by a mile.

Musical hints of Cliff's Carrie and Helen Reddy's Angie Baby.

Shame Cambodia wasn't on it either.
First half impeccable. A couple of duffers on side 2.

In fact, I am absolutely certain, from listening to it, that they heard Carrie and decided to do one of their own.
The sax at the end all but confirms it.

I have given the album 5 stars. as Chaos at the Airport was the only track I didn't fully dig, and it was still OK.

We can do. I've only heard one track from it, which is very different from her previous stuff.WhatDoesThisButtonDo? wrote:We doing Catch As Catch Can??

It would appear to be about PTSD and Vietnam War bombing missions.Nightjar wrote:Is this flippantly p*litical?
