Pipers at the Gates of Dawn or bagpipes just as you\'re off to sleep?
Re: Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967)
Crikey, according to Wikipedia the recording of "Pow R. Toc H." was partly inspired by the band watching The Beatles recording "Lovely Rita" at Abbey Road Studios and using similar types of backing track effects just the next day.
I can't hear the influence TBH.

I will guess it sounded like Jimi Hendrix would've if he'd gone to Eton.

Now it's just someone playing one out of tune note on a guitar over and over again.

Seriously, I know Pink Floyd were masters of getting an awful lot of mileage out of very few ideas but, really? Nearly ten minutes of this?
