It is over.
I felt that was a mixed bag. The parts that felt like cookie-cutter Blues tended to quickly lose my interest and felt too samey. The stuff that had more of a twist to it got me going far more.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

A real who's who of famous performers gathering around "The King of the Blues" to create a really punchy, meaty album.
Any limitations the record may have had are simply a matter of fact.
Blues is a rudimentary but truly influential and syncretic musical art-form.
This is a major album of my childhood.
The more prosaic parts were still groovy.
If you dislike this album then you're a racist.
