I ran a mug, filled with hot water, all around the walls of the ice compartment, to loosen the ice, and then got stuck in with my knife. box

My fridge has packed in today. The light comes on when I open the door, and I hear the thermostat clicking but the "Motor" isn't coming on and lowering the temperature. Its freezer compartment's already now devoid of ice.

I don't know if I should buy a new fridge-freezer or just get a stand-alone freezer and buy a dedicated fridge later.

Why are all the fridges I'm looking at online only 48cm wide? The one I've got right now is 55cm wide and is barely big enough to accommodate my weekly shopping. gaah
