It is over.
That was like listening to candy floss with all the flavour removed.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Strange combination of Boring and creepy. Like Kenny G in an SS uniform. I like that Elastique one. Ghastly 1986's production.

Crikey Moses.
Iron Maiden then this.
A kind of jellied eels-meets-intentionally-fake-bouillabaisse Spice melange.
As a cultural event: superb.
As an actual record worth listening to: virtually no.
Still, The Serge abides.
You lot might not get it, but I'm still trying to (despite my French/French speaking friends telling me I'll never) get it.

I dunno about this one, but I've always assumed that the average Serge song was so full in double and triple innuendo, language jokes and a reliance on knowledge of French Culture in the last half of the 20th Century, mon français C'est Mal.

They were.
Hence my lengthy - but completely ignored - attempt to translate L'Homme a Tete D'Chou so everyone could enjoy and participate in the narrative.
By this point mid-to-late-'80s however he'd just resorted to a kind of lazy (albeit effective and louche) shock value.
That his missus was English was mad enough for the French to get their culottes in a twist in any event...
