talking about the Tap, I was just listening to this 2day, Written by Nigel Tuffnel:

They are not a real band.

We all know that, yuh?

The songs from the film are brilliant and hilarious.

The moment they became something other than the band from the film they died as a concept and were hopelessly diluted as a concept.

I'm pretty sure that the ST Simpsons episode happened during the Golden Years of TS, and I was delighted initially, but ultimately I knew the show had dropped a shark-jumping clanger.

And they dare to complain about the Skinner/Armin Tanzarian episode.

I swear, that was snuggle rumpusing hilarious.
