It is a Fender Rhodes isn't it.
It has the most pleasing sound of any '70s electric organ.

They've used the time well.

It reminds me a bit of Thin Lizzy too.
The Celtic thing.

It is over.
That was total cobblers, almost from start to finish but the last track was OK.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I quite liked it, but I can understand why they binned it and went for the lighter Impossible Dream album,

What a very odd album.
The opening 1/3 was horrific.
Flat out, plain-as-day, car-wreck shite.
Then it caught hold of something proper (sober?) and thereafter - one or two dodgy confections aside - improved immeasurably.
On a few occasions it even got genuinely good.
I liked the final track quite a bit (I'm a sucker for that kind of romantic, anthemic schtick).
Still, my ultimate verdict is shaded by the fact that - just like the Neil Young album - it's not a lost album in reality at all.
That knocks a star off I'm afraid.
Not really the band's fault, but as a 'product' it bears the mark of disingenuity.

Version I'm more used to:
Prefer this one, but I definitely prefer the the Impossible Dream version of 'Man in the Jar'

He was 'only' 46 when he died...
I would have though an original Rock and Roller would have been older…

Can we ever do a truly lost album?
