This sounds like an album where they're terrified of repeating themselves, and scared of doing anything different, and a vocalist who can't.

Possibly not even the worst Portishead album, but there's shelf life to that sort of thing. Sorry guys, would get ★★★, but there's too much blatant plagiarism

Her solo album was f'ing terrible, only listen to it once, and got about 2 tracks in on second listen.
