Was that your pram? Nightjar and mummy of out for a walk.

That looks like that sh*tty row of tatty shops at South Ken tube station.

Nightjar wrote:No.

It is not.

Not a single blond or blonde or ginger in the family.

We simply don't allow it.

Also, my Mum would never have ever dreamt of posing for some crap like that.

She was - and is - neither an actor, model, poser or poseur.

She is a garment maker, designer, graphic artist and fount of all knowledge re: textiles and sewing machines non pareil.

It just seemed an amusingly naff photo from (about three years after things were actually cool) that had gay colours in the foreground and then crummy backgrounds behind them.

As for the location, it looks a bit like Shepherd's Bush Market.

Anyway, FO.

That said, at the time, my Mum (and Astley-Dupee) had a shop by So-Ken Station called...

Hems and Buttons and Stitches or something...

And I never once called my Mum "mummy".

I was never a baby.

I'm going to email that picture to my Mum and tell her you said it was her with me when I could still just about fit into a garishly painted Edwardian-era perambulator in order to create an ersatz photographic representation of a 'Swinging '60s' London that never actually existed for some kind of for-hire stock photography library.

She's gonna be hella mad at you, girl. evil

Edwardian era? That’s just a standard Silver Cross isn’t it? There are pictures of me in the same, only it was brown and cream.

My Mum put me firmly straight regarding the Silver Cross pram.

I was abashed.

What came next though simply tore the rule book into shreds.

Abashed isn’t good enough. She should’ve dropped the A from the start before delivering what was deserved.
