Earlier, I had to use the hairdryer, on my feet, to get them warmed up again, after I'd spent time in the kitchen.

The hot water bottle has been my little companion over the last week or so.

Good for my back too.

When I'm downstairs I've had to have two fan heaters on full blast, and a halogen heater, and the central heating, to feel vaguely lukewarm.

It hasn't been above 1°C for a week. Yesterday the maximum daytime temperature was 0, and on Tuesday it was -1!

My boiler's not working. It looks like the condensate pipe's frozen.

I have poured warm water on it and am now waiting for it to thaw.

The temperature's not expected to rise above freezing at any point today.

But, tomorrow, it's expected to be 5 degrees.

And, on Monday, it's expected to be 11.

I hope that boiler starts working for you.

It was -1°C in my storage unit this morning. Lucky I keep a fan heater in there, or it would have ended up like the freezer scene at the start of Carry On Behind.
