Re: Bird Words
I've never seen a stork (I think). The nearest I've ever seen in the wild are herons.
I've also seen flamingos but that was in a zoo.

I saw a stork in Essex last Christmas, I probably posted about it in this thread actually.

Re: Bird Words
I was watching (a tiny bit of) Only Fools and Horses, and there was a joke about a David Bovvie covers act who was also a carpenter in his main job.

Re: Bird Words
There are some very twittery birdies in The Quadrant's central tree.
I think it's the same as when there were some tiny chickies there a couple of years ago.
They're slightly annoying with their incessant high-pitched squeaking, but I'd still die to save their beaky little beings*.
*from a lone magpie or particularly small squirrel.

Re: Bird Words
They're still out there, squeaking away.
They only stop when it gets dark.

They're kind of starting to start stopping about right now.

Re: Bird Words
I can hear the parents now.
Pretty sure they're blackbirds.
Adult blackbirds have, for such a common bird, a very pretty and elegant song.
