That was great. It's like someone got the Beatles, a ChinniChap band, Iggy Pop, Black Lace and the Strokes and mashed them all up in a big blending machine to create an album that was 50% Rod, Jane and Freddie and 50% Sex Pistols. happy

Despite some obviously sort-of-OK-ness music-wise I instinctively detested that.

Weirdly it was the fact that it switched from dumb-as-a-bag-of-spanners pop to a wailing squawk of faux US garage-psych-rock that jarred for me.

Like it deceived to flatter, if you know what I mean.

The moral of this tale is: having good music taste doesn't make you a good band.
