It is over.
Apart from the 7 minute snoozeathon, that was a very good album which avoided the pitfall of relying on groove alone to carry it along. This time, there were actual, proper, well-formed songs in there as well.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Well, that was funkay.

Actually thinking about it hadn't George Clinton gone all Computer games by now? So rather old fashioned in the very fast moving American Urban Music, even by 81.

That was quite good.
Did what it set out to do.
Musically never very original he was still cool as fl*p, had obvious talent and was a great performer.
His canon is a kind of summation of every funk and soul and R&B style that went before - considered objectively, not a bad thing by any stretch.
Shame about the white woman though.
