I used to love Stop The Cavalry till I heard Jona Lewie boast about what a nice little earner the royalties still were, and from that moment on I hated it, and I always sing profane lyrics to it under my breath when I hear it.

In fairness, I think I've heard most singers of these Christmas favourites say exactly the same thing; from Noddy Holder to Tony Mortimer.
